Quick Search

Avelox is a fluoroquinolone antimi- crobial that is available for use to treat common community-acquired respiratory tract infections including acute bacterial exacerbations of chronic bronchitis, acute bacterial sinusitis, and community-acquired pneumonia. It has also been shown to be effective in the treatment of skin and skin structure infections and complicated intra-abdominal infections.

Avelox provides rapid recovery in respiratory tract infections, with demonstrated faster clinical response compared with a variety of antimicrobials in clinical studies conducted in acute bacterial exacerbations of chronic bronchitis, acute bacterial sinusitis, and community-acquired pneumonia.

Avelox has an excellent antimicrobial spectrum, including activity against Streptococcus pneumoniae resistant to β-lactam and macrolide antibiotics. The product safety profile is well-characterized, with over 40 million patients worldwide treated with Avelox.
